We teach hands-on. And we keep the lessons short.
A few focused blocks a day for reading and math — practiced properly, measured, done. The rest belongs to the children: building real things, measuring, making, testing, fixing what doesn't fly. Children remember what they learn by making it themselves.

Kids use math as they turn a drawing into something that runs. Build it, race it, check it against the drawing, fix it, run it again. We clear the path and get out of the way.

Clever thinking matters, but the way children treat people matters more. Children practice patience, honesty and generosity as they follow the path Jesus walked, look after each other and care for their neighborhood.
