A school you join.
Not a service you buy.
Sozo is a small English-medium microschool in Chiang Mai for ages 4 to 12, and a part of Sozo Life Foundation. We grow with the families who join us.
What a day at Sozo feels like.
Mixed ages learn together. Mornings are for reading and math. Afternoons are for making. Outside time is real, not earned. The day has a rhythm, not a schedule -- because children are not factory inputs.
Play and exploration carry as much weight as math and science. We treat every child like a whole person, because that is what they are.
we let kids be kids.
How families are part of it.
Sozo is shaped by everyone who's part of it. We're a school you join, not a service you buy. When something isn't right, we fix it together. That "together" looks different for each family -- time, skills, hands, money, advocacy. The spirit is shared; the form is yours.
Minimal fees exist, but Sozo is sustained by foundation backing, community involvement, and family contribution -- not by tuition. We have a real conversation with every family about what their contribution looks like.
Mixed ages, one classroom.
Ages 4 to 12 learn alongside each other, because older children teach younger children, and younger children show older children what curiosity still looks like. The classroom is a starting point, not a destination.
